Guard a Mouse!

So, i'm a huge fan of David Petersen who writes and draws a book called Mouse Guard.

I sorta went with his idea of a mouse in the olden days. It felt so great to get this down on paper. Like the saying goes, "learn by doing." I learned that if i put in the time and effort, i can make a detailed, designy piece. I'm really starting to be drawn to art that has a graphic design feel to it. Where the layout is just as important as the finished piece.

The Incredible Hulk *raawwrrr*

So, I've been breaking in the new prisma color and sharpie markers i've got. I'm usually not a fan of using colors...but the new Hulk movie inspired me. Mainly because the movie is freakin' awesome! Well, thats that, hope you enjoy it!

This is another quick sketch. As you can see, that's all I basically do, sketch. Nothing finished or final.

This being the July 4th Weekend, I couldn't help but think and wonder how our boys in the Middle East are doing. I'm sure it's hell and they wish they were home doing the things we did. Anyways, this was just one image that popped into my head.

A Long Time Ago...

I would like to thank Bank of America for the envelope on which this image was drawn. This was a super quick sketch I did today at work. It's a Star Wars character. I can't tell you which one...but I see her all over the place holding a light saber. I got the idea after seeing another (and way better) drawing of her on the Around Comics forum. Art begets Art!

I'm working on a creator owned project right now. Don't want to say much about it because it could just be a fleeting thought. Seeing as I probably can't actually draw an entire comic, it's basically a story that i'll hold onto till someone awesome can draw it. So we'll see where it goes.
