This is a photoshop piece. I drew the ninja with pencil. Then went all willy-nilly with the colors. It's not that great. But something for you guys to see. I swear, the next one will be better! I would be so awesome if i didn't suck at photoshop. haha. Well, heres to the next one!

I'm back! Well...for the time being. This is a new character i'm working on. Her name is "Crying Orphan". I'll tell her tale another time. Perhaps with the next post. I don't want anyone stealing my awesome ideas! Haha.

Guard a Mouse!

So, i'm a huge fan of David Petersen who writes and draws a book called Mouse Guard.

I sorta went with his idea of a mouse in the olden days. It felt so great to get this down on paper. Like the saying goes, "learn by doing." I learned that if i put in the time and effort, i can make a detailed, designy piece. I'm really starting to be drawn to art that has a graphic design feel to it. Where the layout is just as important as the finished piece.

The Incredible Hulk *raawwrrr*

So, I've been breaking in the new prisma color and sharpie markers i've got. I'm usually not a fan of using colors...but the new Hulk movie inspired me. Mainly because the movie is freakin' awesome! Well, thats that, hope you enjoy it!

This is another quick sketch. As you can see, that's all I basically do, sketch. Nothing finished or final.

This being the July 4th Weekend, I couldn't help but think and wonder how our boys in the Middle East are doing. I'm sure it's hell and they wish they were home doing the things we did. Anyways, this was just one image that popped into my head.

A Long Time Ago...

I would like to thank Bank of America for the envelope on which this image was drawn. This was a super quick sketch I did today at work. It's a Star Wars character. I can't tell you which one...but I see her all over the place holding a light saber. I got the idea after seeing another (and way better) drawing of her on the Around Comics forum. Art begets Art!

I'm working on a creator owned project right now. Don't want to say much about it because it could just be a fleeting thought. Seeing as I probably can't actually draw an entire comic, it's basically a story that i'll hold onto till someone awesome can draw it. So we'll see where it goes.

I may not come when you call...but i'm always on time

Hello friends.
I haven't forgotten about you. I've been sick lately which is reason for the lack of updates. But their coming. Just sit tight.
I've been trying to do some Wolverine/wolves sketches. Their "eh". But i'll show em off.
I've also been doing the Joker. I'm conflicted with the Joker though. I can't really draw him 'cartoony', he should be scarred and damaged like the new movie look. But I don't really want to steal that look. So you'll see that stuff.
And, to go with the blockbuster movie, i've got Iron Man! I'm not patient enough to draw the details in his armor though. So, you'll see that.
As I post these, of course, I'll give insight to what I did.

hello again friends.

Well, someone requested that I draw Catwoman and here she is! Drawing and coloring wasnt as difficult as I thought it would be. although, it came out more simplistic than I had intended. But maybe thats a good thing. I'm still learning how to create images online. So i'll get the hang of it. Learn by doing folks!

If theres a character you want me to draw...let me know! I'm always up for a challenge!

I've got this friend. She likes a band. She has many friends that like the same band. But they're not groupies. Groupies sleep with rockstars because they want to be near someone famous. They're there because of the music, they inspire the music. They are Band Aids.

Heroes in a half shell...

Funny how childhood creeps into adulthood. When I was a kid I LOVED TMNT. Couldn't get enough of these four green brotha's. As I got older, I matured, sadly they didn't seeing as they're a massive cash cow for kids 14 and under. It's cool though, I aint mad at 'em.

The piece contains all 4 turtles. I started with leo (middle) then don (lower right) then raph (upper left) and then mikey(mid right) by time I got to mikey, i was outta space, so I just tried to cram him in where I could. The drawing has it's flaws. Like Raph's shoulders, Mikey's big head...but this is my first time drawing them since I was about 10. So, I guess it's not too bad for my first crack in about 18 yrs. One thing is, its not a total sketch. I drew this with the intent to keep it clean. No loose lines and scribbles. I did practice sketches, and they came out somewhat better than this. Perhaps i'll post those at a later date.

Hopefully, the pic enlarges to a decent size when you click it. If not, im gonna have to tweek my scanner a bit. Live and learn friends...live and learn.

The first of many...

Well, this is my new official art blog! I'll try to post new stuff I do often enough to make it worth everyone bookmarking my page. I chose this site because its sooo much easier to use than Facebook and Myspace. This is upfront and in your face...like my art!

I plan on using this page to keep me drawing and being artistic. Sometimes life gets in the way of our passions, hopefully this site will prevent that from happening. Feel free to comment on my posts. Thoughts are always welcome. And again welcome to Art de Diggity!
